You can check out the new legal search engine of my startup PreCYdent, here. It's getting positive reviews. The feedback button goes straight to Italy, where our engineers are, so you can comment away freely with no worries from me. We are very interested in getting feedback from law students.
Or search from this widget:
Right now, we have US Sup Ct cases and US Ct of App back to 1950, and recent NY state cases. Much more coming soon. It's free of course.
We also have a facebook app. Go to facebook and search for precydent. It won't let me link to it directly.

Could somebody please send me an email or do a comment to this post reminding me of the things I have promised to post on this blog? Something on non-comps in California and a link to the Facebook litigation -- anything else? Sorry -- I plead the infirmities of age.

Here is the Pepsi ad that led to a lawsuit when John Leonard tried to buy the jet with 15 Pepsi points and a check for $700,000

Here are the assignments. We will try to do 20-25 pages per class. (Sorry about the Wingdings before -- MS Word did this when I cut and pasted into my Firefox browser.)

This link should take you to the contract outline wiki.
Click on the blue go button on the bottom of the page, then the Recent Activity tab on the right. Contracts outline should show up as a document. Click on that to go to the outline. Then improve the outline with your brilliance.

I just sent you all an email inviting you to join a Contracts outline wiki. If I accidentally sent you multiple emails (like, 6) I'm sorry. I'm not trying to spam you. The program did not like my sending out so many invitations at once, and was a bit irked.
Here is what I did. I found an contracts outline based on Farnsworth on the Web, one of several floating around there. I did not review it for errors. It is supposed to act as a wiki "seed", something to get the collaborative effort of revising the outline started. Each of you is invited (but not required!) to edit the outline. You don't need to be shy. If you think you can improve on anything, go right ahead. Others can always correct you if you make a mistake. At least, that's the idea.
This is just an experiment. I am interested to see if this Web 2.0-ish tool is actually useful in a Contracts class.
Right now, everybody in the class is a fully empowered editor. Please don't invite anyone outside of the class to participate. As Administrator, I can monitor activity, so be nice.
It appears you can not only edit, but you can also add links, and do all kinds of stuff. Try to have fun, and don't stay up too late.
